By: GalliumGnu. on 23 Oct 09, 20:56:32
I know that some psych grad programs require that you have taken some chemistry and/or biology, and calculus to apply to the progam. But, not all are like that. I'm sure it depends on what field in psych you want to study.

i beg to differ psychologist are people who can hedlp people with their everyday problems. People are not always comfortable to talk with their family about their personal issues. psychiatrist give their patients medicine to change their actions. its not always necessary to assign a diagnostic for a disorder. a patient just need someone who willl listen and give good advice.

Psychologists are the most highly trained psychotherapists. Psychiatrists treat with medicine. Not all mental health issues are organic, so medicine is not always appropriate treatment. Psychologists can make as much money as they want. There are countless career opportunites beyond "hanging a shingle." Money is not limted by a degree, but by the degee holder.
